Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole has signed into law a bill prescribing death penalty for anybody convicted for kidnapping in the state.
Signing the law in Benin yesterday, the governor said the law also prescribes demolition of property or hotel used by kidnappers for their nefarious activities.
The governor said the new law which was recently passed by the State Assembly amends the kidnap prohibition law of 2009.
