Omawumi eyes her first movie award

After several music awards and endorsements, Omawumi is really gearing up for her first movie awards.

Omawumi, who has hits like "Bottom Belle" has been nominated for the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards, GIAMA, in the "Most Promising Actress" category for her role in the Yvonne Nelson produced House Of Gold.

Others in this category includes Mary Lazarus (Desperate House Girls), Mbufung Seikeh (Ninah's Dowry), Okawa Shaznay (Cheaters), Tamara Eteimo (Desperate House Girls), Itz Tiffany (Single and Married).

The award is scheduled to hold on October 19, 2013in the US.
