The star of Kyle XY shared his big news and his delight at getting engaged to his partner, musician Blue Hamilton, on his Twitter account.
He posted: 'Starting off the year with a new fiancé, @bluehamilton.
'A great way to kick off 2013!'
Matt, 30, was a model for five years before his big break in Kyle XY came in 2006.
He is also known for his role as Chad in TV show Eastwick as well as starring alongside Hilary Duff in 2010 romantic comedy Beauty And The Briefcase.
Blue, who is based in Los Angeles, renovates houses in his spare time and is a committed equal rights campaigner and passionate environmentalist.
